The Portuguese shapeshifter is called the bruxsa, which combines characteristics from werewolves and vampires.  They are usually women who invoked demons, leave her home at night, and transform herself into hideous, gigantic bird-creature.  They cavort with other beasts before they return home to suck the blood of their children.

They are also believed to consume both blood and flesh, but aren’t viewed as gentle and non-attacking creatures that fall under a spell, attend a crossroad at night to become a wolf after groveling in the dirt, and run out, howling into the countryside without hurting anyone.
